Next week, I have to hand in a big project for my senior year. It’s like quite a big deal at our school.
So, we have to do a big research on a topic. You have to write a report and later give a presentation about it. Your topic has to do with one of your subject. One of your teachers of that subject is going to help you with writing your report and gives you a grade. Luckily, you can do the project with someone else.
I chose one of my best friends at school. We chose to do a biology and PE topic. And we chose our PE teacher to be our mentor.
Right now, we have 5 days left till our presentation and let me say, I am very nervous. Our family, friends, teachers and school students are going to be there. So that’s a lot of people.
Whenever I have a presentation I try not to get that nervous. I know nerves are part of giving a presentation. But whenever I am too nervous, I forget what I have to say. That’s what happened to me a couple of weeks ago when I had to give a presentation.
A lot of people told me some tricks for dealing with nerves. Such as accept the nerves or concentrate on your breathing. But whenever I stand in front of a crowd, I just immediately forget about these tricks.
I hope this time I actually can deal with my nerves. And don’t black out in front of everyone (crossing my fingers). Wish me luck!
Do you get nervous for a presentation? How do you deal with nerves?
